Career 6 is a boutique sixth form, we are big enough to know what you need to help you progress on to university but we’re small enough to focus on you, to us you are far more than a student, you are part of our family and we’re with you all the way to help you succeed.
We’re big on university and careers, so our students also have many opportunities beyond their studies including a wide range of enrichment to help them once they graduate from Career 6. We offer high-quality teaching, strong university and employer links and our students choose a combination of A levels and/or BTEC subjects which are closely related to their future careers.
What makes us different?
Career 6 isn’t like other sixth forms – what we do is focused and we’re supported by the Outstanding rated Grimsby Institute and University Centre – what this means is you can expect high-quality teaching in a focused way that’s as individual as you are, that’s right for you and where you are given every opportunity to succeed and progress to university, degree apprenticeships or employment.
We’re happy to help

What courses do we offer?
As a student at Career 6 you have options to study A levels, BTECs or a combination of both. Unlike other sixth forms you may have come across our offer is more focused on university progression and careers – we do this because we understand that’s what employers and universities like – it also helps you be more prepared for higher level study or employment than choosing a more random approach to qualifications – so you can expect to find pathways such as Business and Finance and Crime and Society.
Within these pathways students choose the right set of qualifications to match their goals. Our offer is evolving all the time and the best way to find out what’s on offer is to talk to us, either at our next open event or by completing the contact form on our website.
Career 6 offers fantastic student support including impartial, personalised careers and progression guidance and a range of financial support services. We also offer a counselling service, mentoring and engagement activities and health and well-being advice. In addition to extensive pastoral support, we offer a wide range of study support services through classroom based coaches, mentors and tutors.
We are committed to ensuring that people with disabilities, including those with learning difficulties, are treated fairly. All reasonable adjustments to provision will be made to ensure they are not substantially disadvantaged.
Studying at Career 6 isn’t just about qualifications. We know that university admission tutors and employers like ‘well rounded students’ so we put on lots of activities that help you develop skills and experiences outside of the classroom.
