Career 6 students and staff celebrate A level success

Students from Career 6 are celebrating receiving their A level and BTEC results today with many subjects achieving a 100% pass rate.

Career 6, which is part of the TEC Partnership, offers students ‘A Levels done differently’, giving them the opportunity to specialise in a number of programmes including Crime and Society, International Business, Science, Teaching and Health and Medical.

Head of Career 6, Paul Lee said: We are very pleased with our second set of A level results. I would like to congratulate our students on their success, they have all worked exceptionally hard throughout their studies.

The majority of subjects have again achieved 100% pass rates at A level alongside a 100% pass rate for BTEC courses, which has allowed our students to progress onto their first choice university to study degrees including Forensic Investigation and Nursing.

Career 6 offers students both academic subjects alongside vocational subjects to provide students with a bespoke programme of study. This helps prepare them for progression onto higher education and future careers. Our strong links with industry and universities give our students a fantastic head start and I am very proud of their success.

Former Academy Grimsby (TAG) learner Charitie-Faith Robinson celebrated as she learnt she had successfully secured her first choice of university at Sheffield Hallam to study Adult Nursing.

I’m really pleased with my A level results. I was at TAG before I came to Career 6. I enjoyed it at TAG and did really well there and I enjoyed it at Career 6. I’m looking forward to going to Sheffield.

Also celebrating their success were Callum Connor and Jason Wheatley who are looking forward to studying for a degree in Criminology at the University Centre Grimsby.

Jason who would like to eventually work in the Prison Service commented

I’m pleased with my exam results. Career 6 has been good, I liked that you were taught in small classes and the tutors were so supportive.
