Choose your Career 6 Pathway

Career 6 pathways specialise in offering you programmes of study within Crime & Society, the Teaching Academy or the Science Academy all of which have been put together with your future career in mind.

Our A levels and vocational equivalents are a two year study programme. For all pathways, students must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at level 4 (C) or above including English Language and Mathematics.

CRIME AND SOCIETY ACADEMY

• SOCIOLOGY
• DIPLOMA IN CRIMINOLOGY

SCIENCE ACADEMY

• EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN APPLIED SCIENCE

TEACHING ACADEMY

• PSYCHOLOGY
• SOCIOLOGY
• ENGLISH

In addition to these subjects there will also be project work, tutorials, enrichment sessions, leadership tasks, visits and trips as well as work experience. In the second year, all students will take an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to help support progression on to higher education.

Remember these combinations of subjects don’t just lead to careers in the group areas, for example, the Teaching Academy enables you to gain the qualifications that can lead to being a lawyer.
