We give our students the opportunity to fully develop their talents and interests, so they are able to demonstrate a broad range of achievements in the increasingly competitive market for university places and job opportunities. In addition, it is important to have time away from their academic work to relax and pursue broader interests and hobbies.
The Learning Support service is available to all students, offering support and help with:
• Practical advice and support for physical disabilities and speciﬁed learning difficulties such as ADD, ADHD, Asperger's, dyslexia, other medical conditions and those with mental health conditions.
• Help to access specialist equipment for your course.
• Support in the classroom and in the wider college environment.
• Support for visual or hearing impairment (blind & deaf).

Our Learner Mentor Team provide our students with a range of activities, advice and support across many areas:

We want to open our students’ eyes to the world. Our students will experience local, national and international trips in order to broaden their horizons.
Depending on your personal circumstances there is a range of financial support which you may be able to access to assist you with some of the costs associated with your chosen programme of study.
The support could help with costs towards travel, meals while at college, childcare, getting to interviews and other study related costs.
There is increased ﬁnancial support for young people who are from vulnerable groups, speciﬁcally young people in care, care leavers and young people in receipt of income support and living independently, or young people in receipt of both Employment Support Allowance and Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments.
Our tutorial programmes provide individual coaching and support aimed at monitoring progress, academic achievement and progression, while raising aspirations and self-esteem.
